In holistic healing methods, I am able to be flexible with how the session is conducted. Depending on the client, depends on how the session will go. For some, using storytelling is the most effective way. For others, they might want to do more sharing of their experiences in order to feel heard. Which is a valuable part of their healing. Then there are those who don’t want to talk hardly at all. Which is also okay in my sessions. It can be extremely difficult for so many people to revisit certain traumas. In these cases, using a Guided Healing Journey Meditation is usually most effective.

A Guided Healing Journey Meditation is where the clients sit back or lays in the recliner chair to be most comfortable. It’s best to have your eyes closed. Then the client’s imagination is engaged as they follow my guided directions. This type of approach doesn’t require the client to relive any negative memories. Instead, it offers the client an opportunity to release whatever has been burdening them or holding them back.

Whenever we close our eyes, it allows for us to disconnect from the distractions around us and allows for us to bring our awareness into our body. This is a valuable approach to healing, especially when you put your awareness into your heartbeat. Although the approach being done is similar to hypnosis, I do not offer hypnosis. My clients are fully conscious the entire time. They are always in control!

To release what someone doesn’t want to carry is like unloading yourself of heavy baggage. It’s like taking the elephant off your chest so you can breathe easier. It takes “the weight of the world” off your shoulders. It’s a pleasant way to free yourself up from the unpleasant traumas and experiences.

In fact, I created an MP3 with a Guided Healing Journey Meditation based on a theme where we start off in the woods hearing the birds and nature, then move through a light portal to the beach. Once at the beach we witness the baby sea turtles hatching and going out to the water. We follow them out and experience going through an underwater current. We exit the current, go through another light portal, and back to the woods where we began.

As the guided journey is being described, there is music playing softly in the background to help assist in the visualization of feeling like you’re actually there.

By the time you finish the journey, you will feel lighter, happier, and like you can breathe again!

I understand how difficult it can be to open up to alternative healing modalities. But don’t wait for things to be dire before you have the opportunity to experience some.

With that said, I’m sharing this turtle healing that I just mentioned, for free!

Currently, it’s uploaded into Spreaker and SoundCloud. You might need to install the apps, but I don’t believe you have to create a login. I’m hoping to have images added so I can upload it to my YouTube channel in the next few weeks.
